BioSens Insitute, a research and development institute for biosystem information technology, was founded in 2015 and is a pioneer in the digital transformation of agriculture in Serbia. By exploring the scientific and technological boundaries of innovative IT applications in agriculture, the institute aims to provide top-tier digital solutions to the Serbian and global agricultural sectors, achieving higher yields with lower investments.
Biro Plus, a member of EuroCons Group, designed the building. The core of the facility is mounted on anti-vibration supports to protect sensitive nanotechnology from external influences. This is the first building in Serbia and this part of Europe to feature an anti-vibration core.
EuroCons Group, as the representative of companies Gemu, Dockweiler, and Veolia, supplied equipment for chemical water treatment. Additionally, HEPA filters by Camfil and the unique Munters cooling equipment for the data center were provided.
Munters Oasis units operate on the principle of indirect evaporative cooling and offer an exceptional energy efficiency for cooling data centers—achieving energy savings of over 80% compared to conventional cooling systems.
Within the BioSens building, we designed and constructed a clean room with an area of approximately 150 m². The specific challenge was designing and building a clean room for ISO Class 7 and ISO Class 5 environments according to the ISO 14644 standard. The flooring installed features constant control of static electricity (electrostatic dissipative flooring) suitable for laboratories, clean rooms, and electrostatically sensitive high-traffic areas. It provides a perfect combination of stable and reliable conductivity along with proven durability.
