Mar Medika factory (North Macedonia) has over 4,000 m² of licensed space for medical cannabis production. The main production area consists of four cultivation rooms on the first level of the building, each measuring 1,000 m² for a total of 4,000 m², and an additional cultivation room on the ground floor (578 m²). There are also two additional rooms: a Mother Room (approximately 210 m²) and a Clone Room (approximately 100 m²).
HVAC
The HVAC solution has been designed with 100% air recirculation according to the requirements and technology of the investor. EuroCons Group is responsible for both the design of the HVAC system and the installation of all equipment. The total air flow through the system is 70,000 m³/h. All air is filtered and passes through three filtration stages (Aeropleat Eco, Hi Flo in the AHU, and HEPA filters within Munters equipment). CAMFIL filters are used for all filtration stages.
CAMFIL molecular filters
Molecular filters are installed on the exhaust gas to prevent the release of odors into the environment. These filters are integrated into a special system that activates only when CO2 concentrations increase and a certain amount of fresh air is needed in the room. The air, rich in cannabis odor molecules, will be directed to the exhaust system where it will be filtered through the molecular filters before being released into the environment.
MUNTERS technology
The production of medical cannabis is sensitive to temperature and humidity conditions, so Munters’ technological solutions for humidification and dehumidification have been implemented.
The EuroCons engineering team provided a turnkey solution, from project design to construction work and commissioning.
