Clean rooms

EuroCons Group is the first and currently the only company in Southeast Europe accredited for engineering work for clean and dry rooms. We offer a “turnkey” solution, including planning, design, construction, equipment installation, validation, as well as post-sales support and servicing.

What are clean rooms

The term "clean rooms" refers to spaces designed for manufacturing or scientific research that require the presence of contaminants, such as dust, microbes, aerosol particles, and chemical vapors, to be maintained at a low level.

According to ISO standard 14644-1, a clean room is a space where the presence of airborne particles is controlled and that is designed and used in a way that minimizes particle entry/exit, generation, and retention. Additionally, other relevant factors such as temperature, humidity, and pressure are also controlled in a clean room.

The classification of clean rooms can be done according to: cleanliness class (the number and size of particles present in the air); air flow pattern; and purpose.

The materials and equipment used in clean rooms must minimize the emission of particles and other contaminants. The air introduced into clean rooms must be filtered from particles and microorganisms, with the size of the particles depending on the technological requirements. To protect the product or process occurring inside the clean room, an appropriate pressure cascade is required.

CLEAN ROOM DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

The investor shall receive efficient and modern solutions, a guarantee of reliable and long-term exploitation of clean rooms.

Clean rooms are designed and executed in compliance with required GMP/FDA regulations and qualification standard ISO 14644-1:2015 (SRPS EN ISO 14644-1:2016) air quality standard.

Our portfolio has numerous executed clean room projects in pharmaceutical, food industry and modern electronics.

We are recognized as innovators and leaders in the region for the design and execution of clean rooms in battery manufacturing and automotive industry (application of stringent standards VDA 19-1 and VDA 19-2 for the execution of ‘clean rooms’, class CG2 and CG3 and manufacturing rooms CG1).

We are particularly proud of the fact we are the first company in the region certified by SGS for clean and dry rooms (SCG 9001; 14001, 45001).

The above would allow the user, due to specific requirements for low humidity, to obtain a solution with extremely low dew point (up to -80oC). Such a requirement is specific for users in the battery manufacturing industry, but also other industrial sectors

Application of Clean Rooms in Industry

  • [1]

    Pharmaceutical industry

The production of pharmaceuticals requires a high level of cleanliness to prevent contamination of the drugs and ensure their safety and efficacy.

  • [2]

    Semiconductors and chips

The production of microchips and other electronic components requires clean rooms to protect sensitive components from dust and other particles that could cause defects.

  • [3]

    Biotechnology industry

The production of vaccines, therapies, and biological materials requires clean rooms to prevent contamination caused by microorganisms.

  • [4]

    Medical research

Clean rooms are used in laboratories and medical research to maintain sterile conditions for experiments.

  • [5]

    Food industry

The production of food and beverages sometimes requires the use of clean rooms to protect against contamination and maintain high hygiene standards.

  • [6]

    Aerospace industry and space technology

The production of aircraft parts and rockets requires clean rooms to ensure high precision and product quality.

What are dry rooms?

A dry room is a space where certain manufacturing processes take place, for which it is crucial to control contamination and temperature levels, while maintaining very low humidity levels.

A room with ultra-low humidity provides a consistent environment for researching issues and creating a stable foundation for sensitive materials and processes.

A dry room is crucial for the development and production of lithium batteries. Most battery manufacturers require a dew point of -40°C to be maintained in dry rooms, and the industrial standard may become even lower in the coming years. These air parameters can be achieved primarily through the use of Munters adsorption air dryers, while also ensuring proper sealing.

The advantages of our solutions

  • EuroCons Group is recognized as an innovative company in the design and construction of modular & lite systems for clean & dry rooms.
  • Since the beginning of 2023, the Engineering sector has become part of the Belgrade Science and Technology Park, which has further encouraged our continuous improvement in this field.
  • The knowledge we have gained has been successfully applied to the ElevenEs project in Subotica, where we collaborated with the first company in Europe to develop technology for the production of LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries. In their production facility, we achieved extremely dry and clean conditions (ISO Class 7 with a dew point of -50°C).

OUR PROJECTS

Our portfolio includes numerous completed clean room projects in the fields of pharmaceuticals, food industry, automotive, and modern electronics.
